Robert P. Blank is a 1973 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he co‑authored “Variable Life Insurance and the Federal Securities Laws,” published in 1974 in the Virginia Law Review. After law school, he was an associate at Shearman & Sterling, where he specialized in bank lending and corporate financing transactions. Thereafter, he spent almost 20 years working on a variety of financing and investment banking matters as a Managing Director and Counsel in the Legal Department at Bankers Trust Company.
